Question Remove a Greyed-Out Device in Midi Setup?

If a midi device is greyed-out and is not editable, how can it be removed from the midi-setup? (the "remove device" button is also greyed-out of course)

While I'm at it I may as well ask how do you delete a midi-set up configuration?

If it's greyed out it means that you need to select an instrument and it's midi channel. If you want to get rid of it just either hide, make inactive or delete the track.
If you mean hardware you have to go into midi studio and edit in there.

Default Re: Remove a Configuration in Midi Setup!

The device is greyed-out in MIDI Studio, which is where I was trying to get rid of it. There are no tracks connected with the device.

I found a work-around for deleting a configuration anyway. It seems PT won't let you remove a configuration unless there's another config in the list. I created a new config then PT allowed me to choose the old one and delete it. This way I was able to start over but with the device in question still not removed but only refreshed. I can remove the device if I unplug it from PT and then select it's greyed-out icon and click delete, but when I plug it in again it returnes to MIDI Setup and remains un-editable.
