Default Waves EMI TG12345 Channel Strip

Hi,

I am considering purchasing this plug in while it's on sale. Waves won't confirm if it is compatible with my set-up. Anyone know if it will run on PT LE 7.4.2?

Thanks!

No one can say for 100% sure, we don't even know your OS. But it says it's RTAS compatible and that's the format PT LE uses... Thought the tech specs do specify PT10.3.8 and up, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't work...

Why not try the demo first to make sure?

By the way, if you decide to buy it, you may want to consider AudioDeluxe.com
it's a bit cheaper there once you add it to your cart. It usually takes them 24 hours to deliver a license in my experience.

$84.99 which is $15 off the $99 sale price when in cart at AD.

Thanks guys, I'll try the demo first. Also, I just upgraded from 002R to 003R and I get this message when I start PT. I've been selecting "later" and everything works fine, but I keep getting the message every time I boot PT. Should I upgrade the firmware and will it also update to PT8?

It won't update your software to PT LE8, it will "update" (actually downgrade) your 003 firmware to the correct version for LE7.4

If that is the PT version you are going to stay at, then I'd go ahead and do it.

I'm more than a little confused by the sale. Being I've purchased from AD before I'm on their email list. In the email notification I got from them at the top there's a section with some colored Easter eggs and a box to click on to 'see specials' for some Waves plugins. I click on that and it takes me to the AD site which it is supposed to.

But if I go to the Waves site itself I see notifications next to some of the plugins that a certain prices is only good for so many more hours (I guess until the end of Easter Sunday in whatever time zone which I don't what that is). The Waves TG12345 plugin which I'm interested in doesn't have that notification count down clock. To be fair the TG12345 is in the 'April Tools' section of the email I mentioned in the first paragraph.

Where I'm confused is how long is the plugin on sale? Is it just until the end of today or longer like the other Waves plugins which neither AD nor Waves themselves gives mention to. I'd like to try the demo a little more as today being what it is I'm not doing much hardcore audio work.
