Default Phase coherency (multi-mono vs Multichannel)

Hi, perhaps this is common knowledge, but can I hear point of views on the use of "multi-mono" plugins (either RTAS or TDM) on a multi-channel Master or AUX? Will the use of multi-mono plugs be phase coherent? It's quite important if you mixes end up being encoded for PL1, or PL2 I believe.

Thanx
