Xpand2.big is not found

I get the following error when trying to use the Xpand2 plug-in:

THE FACTORY CONTENT WAS NOT FOUND:
/Applications/Digidesign/Pro Tools Creative Collection
PLEASE LOCATE THE CONTENT FILE "Xpand2.big"

I've already read all the threads related to this problem, and my problem seems bit different... This 'creative collection' directory doesn't even exist on my Mac.

I tried reinstalling pro tools and it did not fix the problem. Any suggestions? I can't even find this file anywhere online available for download, it is frustrating!

What version of pro tools? I had this problem with Lion and could not figure it out so I went back to my PC. Sorry I can't help but I can confirm your not alone.

I'm using version 8.0.5. If i go ahead and fork over money for pro tools 9, will this fix the problem? Also, I am using an eleven rack.

Can you confirm that you have Creative Collection option enabled when you run the full Pro Tools LE installer? That should create the directory and install the .big files.

Me Personally with Lion and pro tools 10 the file is there and once I point to it it finds it but I have no sounds. Then on reboot it can't find it again. I wont derail the OP I'll eventually figure it out. That's while I was curious if it was on LiOn or SL. Carry on
