Delay Compensation bug in PT11 with AOS plug-ins (fixed in PT 11.2.1)
Hey,
I'm a new and yet unexperienced PT user here. Been using PT10 for half a year or so. Since a lot of 3rd party plugin developers have updated to AAX 64, I'm now testing PT11. I noticed a different behavior in delay compensating aux inputs, coming from a multiple output instrument plugin. In this case I have an instrument track with an instance of Addictive drums. I am routing the snare to two aux inputs for individual treatment (e.g. additional triggering). No matter what delay compensation setting I choose, I get non aligned audio when adding a plug-in to one of the aux tracks. Please check this quick video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3wGdbKhJyc I used an instance of Waves C4 just for the test. In PT10 this all went flawless. Please help me understand how to deal with this in PT11. Thanks a lot! Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
Thanks...
Bug reported: http://protools.ideascale.com/a/dtd/...11/113257-3779 Hoping for a quick solution because this way PT11 is unusable for me as well as others, I guess... Erwin |

Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
using multi output/buses/hardware/inserts/DSP/Native plug-ins in a session with Strike 2.0 or Superior Drummer 2.0 it's pretty easy to reproduce this bug.
Avid needs to address this bug ASAP! |

Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
Just so I understand what's happening here...
ADC is not working when routing an instrument's multi-out to a bus, and inserting a plug-in on said bus? And it works fine if the bus is empty? |

Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
Yes.
It is most obvious when you duplicate an aux, using the same multi out source as an input, and then adding an insert to just one of the aux tracks. The result will be the typical phase shifted sound, as demonstrated in the video. I am not sure if this happens also when the source is just a regular audio track, instead of an instrument's multi out. I am gonne install 11.03 on my home Mavericks machine to see if it's solved. Will report back here...

Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
So printing the tracks still works without ADC problems, then?

Re: Understanding delay compensation PT11
Not sure what you mean mesaone.
Aux tracks can't be recorded onto, right?

I was asking for my own info, since I just recently got Strike 2. I haven't used multi-output in Pro Tools 11 yet, hence my curiosity. |

Delay Compensation Issue NOT solved in PT11.0.3
I tested the same setup in 11.0.3 but unfortunately the bug still exists...
That means still no PT11 for me Hoping for a fix in the next update...
