Default Bomb Factory and operating systems

I have used BF's compressor plug-ins on a MAC ProTools system and loved 'em. What's the consensus for pc? Is it worth sticking with 98 or ME to use these?

I have them running in compatibility mode on two machines. Just go to your PTLE Icon and select run in win 2000 compatibility mode and they should work. But the update would make ME feel better

BF does not recommend or support running it in win2k mode. Doesn't work for all ppl either.

For me it works (compatibility mode NT4 service pack 5), I dont see any difference in anything.
I'm running 5.3.1 on XP Pro with BF 2.0, and waves 3.2 without any problems.
