Expansion possibilities

I was about to buy a Light pipe interface for my Korg triton rack, but have just realizedd that for about the same amount of money I can get a one unit rack ad/da converter that will use the DIGI 001 light pipe located on the card of the 001.

I have looked at the Alesis A-13 or A1-3 (i am not sure which order) and had realized I can get eight more jacks in my analogs ins and outs for less than 400$.

My question is has anyone heard the the conversion quality of these usnits. Alesis was the first to start adat but at this price you must wonder

eight anolog outs
Adat light pipe in
adat light pipe out( both PT 001 compatable)
Single Rack unit

16 simultaneas ins and outs on 001

has anyone used this product, this unit could make the 001 much more powerful for myself and you.

Please post any other similiar products you have used or heard of, and also the sound quality of this unit

Im using the AI3. It works great. I cant hear a marked difference between the AI3 inputs and the digi 001 inputs. I've been very happy with the results. Its also a 24 bit unit.

Have you had no serious problems with jitter or whatever. I think Im bout to get one
anything I should know

No problems at all. The multitrack recording has worked flawlesslessly no pops timing problems etc with the 001 and the AI3 on my system.
