Default MacOS X

Hello everybody!
A simple question: if I upgrade from MacOS 9 to MacOS X, will I have problems with Digidesign software? Thank you and Merry Xmas!

OS X will run current sessions through OS 9.04 but not until the real OS X's release and Digi updates PT. But Digi is already updating PT to run under OS X so, you may not need OS 9, as long as you can wait, which I'm hearing is probably at Mac Expo Tokyo in Feb. 2001.

it will be doable only once the OSX has been implemented by Digidesign software. So far, OSX is not Digidesign compatible as far as I know, so the answer to your question is likely a-big-fat-yes(!), if you upgrade now, then you will have problems with OSX.

Thank you for your advice Mr. Analog Tree! I'll save some 40 bucks for something more useful!

OS/X has a layer which will allow it to run current applications. I would not try it until you hear how stable the results are.

Sorry. Current versions of ProTools will not run under OSX -- the "Blue Box" compatability mode does not allow access to PCI (and thus our HW).

Not to worry -- we are *definitely* working on an OSX version of ProTools . . .
