What is the format you bounce down to?
Might be something wrong there, like you selected 48K instead of 44.1 and in Cubase you didn't?

It's a known issue that Nero doesn't like some of the information that PTLE puts in the header of its wave files(somebody correct me if I'm saying it the wrong way or so). The trick you perform is a variation on what's usually done to work around it. You can also open your bounces in Wavelab or Soundforge and save them from there, and you'll be fine. Good luck,
Voideco

Hi FinnJ,

1)Does Nero burn CDRs from other applications ?
2)You must specify "stereo interleaved" for your bounced/exported files . PT by design uses
dual mono (*.L & *.R ) designation for stereo files. I dont think Nero can handle those.
3)CDA is always 44.1 kHz, 16 bit. >>convert after bounce

happy tooling,

I believe they fixed Nero in the newer versions to not choke on unknown header data. Update your version of the software.
