VI Upgrade Pricing with Pro Tools 9

I have Pro Tools 9.0.5 with just the virtual instruments that came with it. Do I qualify for upgrade pricing for Structure or the Virtual Instrument Expansion Pack, or will I need the full version of either of these? Thanks!

Your best bet would be to purchase Hybrid or Structure LE for peanuts thus qualifying you for the $199.00 USD Upgrade to PTIEP. Hybrid for $25.00 USD

To answer your question straight, no. You had to buy a PT9 bundle with Avid hardware or PT MP9 bundle with M-Audio hardware in order to qualify. But yeah, buying a license from someone else on eBay is a quick way to get yourself in line.

They have a special offer going right now where you get Strike, Velvet, and Eleven LE if you buy a qualifying hardware/software bundle. It's not the Instrument Expansion Pack, but based on having Strike or Velvet, you could then upgrade to the IEP, which is also on sale (just the upgrade) for $199.

How about those of us who bought the new MBox Pro a few months ago? Are we not entitled to get these plugs for free as well? Some input from AVID would be nice
