Sounds for me like Hardware issues with your mac ....,
had similar problems and it turned out it was the northbridhe
on the mac pro mainboard , a cpu upgrade wont help here ,
you may check your system with "SystemLoad" (forces the cpu to 100%)
and " Macs Fan Control" , shows the temperature of a lot of components
and at least "ASD" "AppleSystemDiagnostics" ( you have to google for the
correct version)....... best regards

I disagree. Mercury, Gold and all the others I've invested in I'm still using and work fully on the latest Pro Tools rig, nearly 20 years later. That is pretty unheard of in technology terms.

Sure, AAX-DSP never made it but neither did many others. Also, the prices have fallen exponentially but this is across the board.

It was so hard that because of that, greg decided not to do any more in future.

I will double check to be sure about UBK though

Edit, here you go, from the man himself.. So a Kush plugin was indeed aax dsp (that and clariphonik are still my 2 faves personally) but I have no idea if one can still buy the DSP version.

I have the DSP version of UBK-1. It still runs fine here.

Their file versions vs about versions don’t align for UBK. Installer says 1.2.6, about box within plugin says 1.2.1 for AAX and 1.2.4 for VST. VST/AAX dll file versions report 1.2.6 through windows explorer.

For what it’s worth, installer 1.2.6 for UBK still installs an AAX DSP version.

Sounds just as good as ever.
