Default late mac attack

This is my first post on this site although I've had my digi001 sytem for a while now. I have everything that I need to start production except for my G4. Apple has delayed my order 3 times now. They don't seem to care about loosing business, because everytime I call about my order they offer to give me a prompt refund. My order was placed 7-31-02. At this point I don't know when I'll get my G4. Hopefully, I shouldn't expect the same from their service procedures. Any suggestions or advice? Anything?

Buy your machine locally from an Apple retailer in your area.

It could be due to the new range of towers coming out maybe.

If they're offering to refund you why not see if they'll honour your original order but supply the equivelent model from the new range. Unless you find a mac dealer who sells them below retail price.

I'm sure if you were ordering the original entry level model and they're now offering you the 867Mhz Dual G4 for the same price it's been worth the wait.

Either way, you've missed out on buying a mac from the old range weeks before the new one's came out and now whatever mac you're getting is a better one than the model you originally wanted.

I thought about buying locally, but they couldn't offer the configuration that I want. I am getting an upgrade. It's the wait time that's killing me. But enough talk of my lack of patience. I'll let you guys get back to making music. I'll be doing the same in a couple of weeks.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">May I ask what kind of "upgrade" you were getting?

I used to sell mac's and I can't imagine why ANYONE would buy from Apple...

Or a local retailer (unless piece of mind is your number 1 concern)

Order it from a mactailer (mac zone, clubmac, mac mall, etc.)

They will have cheaper prices on the options, and no sales tax if you don't live in the same state as the company you buy from.

The tax becomes a big deal when it is 3-4 hundred more...

Thats some plug ins, a mic or two, REASON and REFUSE, you get the idea.

P.S. email me if you want some help, I have A LOT of contacts who can get you a fair price...
