Default Previewing samples in Finder for quick organization

I have a lot of free samples I've downloaded saved in a folder in the macbook finder. But when I click the sample to preview them it opens up iTunes and adds the sample to my iTunes library just to preview a second long sample. This also makes it really hard to organize my samples since obviously thats a slow way of previewing them.

So I want to organize my samples now, whats the quickest way of doing it? Right now I preview them in the workplace browser in Pro Tools and manually sort them in the finder. Is there a way with Macs to erase pro tools from the scenario and QUICKLY preview my samples in finder then sort them as I preview them?

Would make it so much faster being able to preview instantly and sort in the same finder window.

Yes, as JFreak said, Quick Look is perfect. Select the file (single click) and press spacebar. You can actually do that with any file.

If you want a little more control (instead of iTunes) then get info on the file (command - i) then in the middle of the get info window select "Open with" and choose Quicktime....and underneath select Change All. Now all those files, whatever they are .wav, etc...will open in Quicktime.

I'd recommend Iced Audio's Audiofinder or Audioease's Snapper.
