Default Is avid.com and the DUC under attack?

The DUC inexplicable vanished last week, and many people seem to be having trouble accessing it since.

I just tried to log in to my Avid account at avid.com, and instead of the log-in page, was greeted with this message:

Alive and Kicking!

What's going on Avid, is the site being hijacked?

I have recently had trouble also. I always use Google Chrome as my Internet browser, and lately I keep getting weird notices (can't access server, etc.) when I try to access the DUC.

If I use Safari, there's no problem. Strange.

Hmm... I have been having slow response on the DUC the past couple days...

Has Avid checked to see if someone is launching DDOS attacks on them, or something like that.

Whenever these government code wars are going on the web is affected.

Be aware there are multiple vulnerabilities listed below at www.cert.org

Link to affected OS's. http://www.us-cert.gov/cas/techalerts/

Personally I think to prevent DNS DOS the TTL in the DNS server's cache is automatically reduced. Ditto with routers/switches so our requests time out. Load balancing works behind the scenes so you never know what path your many DNS requests are routed. Perhaps to legacy routers/switches... in a last ditch effort to prevent DOS.

Yeah, mine worked almost immediately when I tried a second time - but I thought it was pretty random/suspect that I would be met with a white page offering the message:

Alive and Kicking!

and the time & date.

Bit worried I'd run in to a Prince Of Darkness type situation, fortunately it didn't continue:

You will not be saved by the Holy Ghost.

You will not be saved by the God Plutonium.

In fact...

YOU WILL NOT BE SAVED!
