PT backup license

Hi,
I'm sold my PT 8 backup license and am trying to transfer it to another ilok account.
I have seen other people sell there backup license on the forum
What is the procedure to do this?
The only way seems to download the backup to my ilok first but, the problem is that I have the primary license on the ilok already.
How can this be done, or can't it and do I have to do a refund to the buyer?

The target iLok contains one or more existing licenses that cannot be replaced by selected licenses. The following licenses cannot be downloaded to the target iLok:

Pro Tools HD 8 - Can't replace an existing Full license with a Full license.

Select a license or bundle from the list and press the "Download Licenses" button again.

The iLok auth in question needs to be on an iLok - you can't transfer from a pending dowloadable auth.

So, the solutions available are:

1. Get another iLok to move the auth to, then do the transfer.
2. If the purchaser is near you and they have a new iLok, you could temporarily register their new (unregistered) iLok to your account, transfer the auth to it, then unregister it (it has to be within 7 days of originally sync'ing to your account).

can I temporarily move my primary license back to my ilok account. Then download my backup license to my ilok, transfer the backup license to the other person and then download the primary licenesne back to my ilok?
If so, what is the procedure?

Unfortunately that's not possible. Once an auth is on an iLok, you can only move it between iLoks (or between an iLok and another persons account).

I'm new to iLok and PT 9 and I downloaded the PT 9 Backup to my iLok first and now it won't allow me to download the PT 9 License. Any advice on how to fix this?
