Default Error message

This mat be a dumb question, but. Recently installed PT12 HD native (12.8.2) on an aftermarket Mac Pro (2x3.33GHz 6 core Intel, 32GB memory, Solid state system drive, 3TB audio drive (SATA, internal). 2.76TB available. I am repeatedly getting an error message (and playback stops) stating "AAE cannot get audio from the drives fast enough. Your drive may be too slow or fragmented, of a firewire drive," etc. (AAE-9073). When I open the system usage window, total usage hovers around 4-5%, voices allocated - 33/256, memory at about 9%, and disk is in the upper 80's, going as high as 96%. I don't get it. Not a particularly processor heavy mix. Three iterations of Altiverb, DDL, doubler, most inserts in the Goliath HD (my interface). Goliath is connect via Digi cable (not USB or thunderbolt) Thoughts?

What are you using for an interface? What is your sample rate? What is the make and model of both your SSD and your audio drive?

Interface is a Goliath HD with digilink connection. System Drive is a Samsung. Audio Drive is WDC, presumably Western Digital. 48khz sample rate. Thanks.
Other than Mac OS and the software that come with it, All that is on this computer is Protools, DSP Quattro and the controller software for the Goliath. I don't understand the dis maxing out. The system drive has 436 out of 500 gig available and the audio drive has 2.76TB of 3 TB available.

I think I got it. The SSD is a Samsung, the hard drive is a Western Digital - it's 5400RPM. I guess I'm in the market for a drive. I am wondering if SSD's are OK for audio drives for ProTools, or if I should get a 7200RPM drive (which I think will be cheaper).
