Default Man I love Pro Tools MIX

Had my Mix rig out on another major label gig....

Love this thing.

64 Channels I/O of sweetness.

Nothing but praise from the clients and their engineers back at the studio.

(Live recording)

The engineers wanted to know what I recorded with

And this, coming from them in their HD equipped studio

I love it.

I love MIX too! It super stable. I have mine clocked to a Black Lion Audio clock and it sounds really good. I also have some great plug ins with it, Metric Halo, Wave Diamond bundle, Izotope, etc.. This old rig can still do all the same things any new software can and it seem like it will last me for a really long time.

Long live MIX!

(I suppose this is a bad time to mention I no longer own a mix system, but there are definitely times that I miss having it.)

Man I wish I could code

I want nothing more right now than PT9 running Mix Hardware

In my opinion, and with my needs, there is NO benefit to HD Hardware over Mix
The benefit NOW, is in the software.

Wish someone would come out with a patch of some sort to make it work

Loved my Mix, but my HD|Native + Omni sounds heaps better.
IMO If you guys are getting great results on Mix systems, you're probably going to go even better on the newer HD stuff!

(Really hoping my 9 system becomes as rock solid as my Mix was, which was not quite as rock solid as my PT3 system)

PTIII, hands down, is THE most stable system I have ever owned. Once it was set up, it worked every time, I never had to troubleshoot anything.

Amen, I think I averaged a crash every 12 months or so.
(On Pro Tools 2 I think it crashed every 12 minutes.)

I'm 99% sure I'll be going HDN with 64 I/O in the new build
(As long as things don't change too much in what's coming end of this month)

Gives me my 64I for remote. My 56 Out to reroute thru my console, and 8 more Outs for cues or outboard.

Mmmm.

Can't wait
