Agreed don't delete posts just because you disagree. That is so not cool.

This is not about freedom of speech. You did not respect the OPs request to avoid policies and politics in this thread.

So we are no longer allowed to disagree with a poster? So sorry if he doesn't want to hear the truth and that people disagree with him. Since he is on your side you delete me-- If I was saying how great the CEO was and defending you guys at AVID Im sure you wouldn't have deleted me.

Hypocrite.

It's a lot like hiding user posts on Facebook and such...

Avid is getting beat up pretty bad on this.. Two things I see standing a mile away and looking the other direction..

1. PT10 is exciting and refreshing..
2. Avid have managed to stuff up the roll-out seven different ways from Sunday.

Honestly, You have to be expecting this.

Your response had nothing to do with the OPs post, and directly contradicted his request. There are other threads discussing pricing, policies, etc. Can we not have one thread about the product's features?

So.... After EACH post I make I'll just state;

PLEASE DONT DISAGREE

What kind of forum would the DUC be, if everyone would abide by that.

I for one would not wanna come here no more

He didn't disagree with the OP (there was no mention about features).

"Can we not have one thread about the product's features?"

Perhaps we could if AVID would do something about this total cluster F$&k they created. If they stop ignoring the massive outcry for a fair price for the upgrade. Then we can all get the upgrade and hold hands and sing together about how awesome it is.

There has to be a positive thread here.

I'd like to hear from HD Native owners on increased efficiencies.

I'm also curious how AAX native plugs compare to their RTAS counterparts regarding efficiency.

Thanks

Carl

PS: I saw HDx at the AES and it is definitely powerful. Will be interesting to see how much it can run of non-Digi plugs. I saw some great things but also saw Revibe II taking 60% of one chip.

Hello. I think DTS is completely correct. First off there is no freedom of speech here. This is not the US, this is a forum paid for and maintained by Digidesign, for users all over the world. Cyberspace. They make the rules. There is no freedom of speech.

Secondly, even with that said, they bend over backwards to allow people to say just about anything negative against the company, as long as it abides by the rules set up when you signed up (No profanity, piracy talk, etc). Again, their site, their rules.

Thirdly, c'mon guys seriously! There are 2,000 threads where they are allowing all sorts of attacks against Avid and/or Digidesign. In this one thread, the original poster asked that the topic be kept to dealing with the software.

If you want to disagree about the software and its features you can, they'll let those fly. But if you want to comment about how the company is being run, prices, etc. there are other threads for that.

The comments are being deleted because they are not responses that are on topic, not because they are being censored. Look around at the many, many other threads.
