Default Can I Import REX Files With PT 10.3.2?

I'm trying, but it's not letting me.
Please advise.
Thank you!

Hi,

Should work fine! what settings do you have in preferences> processing...
drag and drop from desktop conforms to session tempo... select rex and acid files.

Hi,

I also have selected automatically copy files on import. Not that it should make a difference but might help as it would need to convert to elastic audio I think.

Are you dragging the Rex files into the track list on the far left of the edit screen? That's how I always drag and drop audio.

You could try creating a new track, probably stereo, and making that elastic audio and then try dragging into that. But dragging into the track list should work ok.

Does anything happen when you try? Or just nothing at all?

Hey Chris -

I tried all of the pref settings that you suggested, but I can't get it to work.

What happens when I drag the .rx2 file into the edit window over a stereo elastic audio track and let go, the file snaps back to its original location on my desktop.

I've tried using the "import audio" dialog and all of my .rx2 files are greyed out. I've also tried using the workspace browser with no luck.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

Thanks so much for your help.

Is there anyone from Avid who could let me know why my system won't work with rex files?

Try this :

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...zing-Rex-Files

Worked in 10.

And avoid PT11, it sucks : no video playback, no REX files.
A complete disappointment, a buggy mess.
