Default Help -- Anyone using Spin Doctor with the 002?

I have analog audio coming into my digi 002 thru the rcA SRC inputs and the spin doctor screen shows
input device as the 002 - but there is no sound - when i playback the recorded audio it does not show up after recording (no wave form) also recording quality is automatically set to custom 44.1 MONO even though its stereo source and all the menu choices are mono. I can hear the audio fine in the 002 heaphone monitor... Can anyone out there help?

update:
.i checked and the 002 is selected in utilities audio devices ...
Spin doctors Input settings shows 002 as the input device with a custom 44.1 32 bit mono setting
and input source reads: Default source(greyed out)..
still no sound in spin doctor and when i record i get no wave data ... i'll keep searching, thanks for your help ...
