well, as Protools treats stereo files like multiple mono anyway, they realeased a EQ to match it.
There are no STEREO files in PT they are just treated like stereo.

URS does it all the time,

besides itīs multiple mono and not mono mono, and stereo is composed of two channels left and right anyway, the multiple mono treats them like seperated left and right channels with identical settings for each channel.

does this clear things up?

I believe multiple mono actually gives an advantage in that you have the option of 'unlinking' the mono channels of the plugin to give them seperate settings. You could set up a slightly different curve for each channel.

A 'regular' stereo plug applies the same settings to both channels only.

$.02

So why not make it unlinkable stereo plugin like Waves' Eq's. Thet way you can move things together and separate on the same graphic. Somehow this is just not quite right. It's fine on mono tracks though.
