Default Re: The Official Unofficial Windows 7 Thread

I've solved the DAE error 6006 problem by restarting my PC. However, now I have other problems: the sound is heavily distorted when I try to use any of Digidesign virtual instruments, plus Miroslav Philharmonik gives me another DAE error when putting it on an insert. On top of it all, there is also strange static noise in my left monitor - on XP everything worked OK.

All in all, it's a good thing that I haven't bought Windows 7 yet: this is the RC version. Since I use my home studio daily, I can't afford myself to have any problems with this PC, so I'm going back to Vista or XP for the time being.

Thanks for answers, though.

Just curious - what does Running as Admin do??? I usually launch LE that way but don't notice a difference when I don't.

It was just the first thing I noticed - I learned from Benoni that Pro Tools really requires at least two hard drives.

Intel CPUs are also more reliable with Pro Tools than AMD ones, but there are AMD users who are quite happy.
