Default Is anyone surprised?

Avid said it would take too many resources to port the Control 24 driver to 64 bit. I suppose they used all those resources for this "new" version. I basically had PT 10 HD with the CPTK. Then they took that away in 11. PT 11 causes CPU spikes that render it unusable on my system. (quad core i7 with 16 g RAM). Thank God I kept PT 10 and can still use my Controller.

I had to laugh reading this. Not a "wow is that funny" kind of laugh, rather a sad, ironic kind of laugh.

Porting the Control 24 driver should be a miniscule effort compared to online collaboration. We all know the real reason that driver is not being ported is to push people onto the newer control surface options that Avid is selling.

I'm surprised "Talked About" features @ NAMM & AES are not there.

Stupid things have happened in the past but yes I'm very surprised. This is a sad day for the customer base.

Pfff... my ProControl won't be working anymore anyway, but they've nothing to offer that interests me. I doubt I'd take an S3 even at half price if they'd offer to trade in the ProControl. I fail to see the seventeen years of technological advancement it offers over the ProControl, I really do...

No... as it stands I think the HD Native is the last piece of hardware I bought from Avid.
I'm getting software updates through march 2016.
They've some making up to do until then...

controller wise, sub 20k, I see nothing that beats a Raven MTi.
bash touch screens all you want, but that's the reality from where I'm sitting.
Hell, I'm not even sure if a 8 fader S6 beats an MTi....

Anyway... this is weird.
