Default Change in grace period for Upgrade Plans?

Missed my reminder notices but now had the expired (hd) plan notice, I did see the text in the email now says "this grace period offer ends on the last day of the current month. " - is this a change of policy instead of the 30 days as last year or an error?

Deciding whether to vote with my wallet on the lack of progress this time rather than me moaning for another year on the forum, need a couple more weeks to see what I'm missing (or not)
