Pro Tools 903 Update not recognized

First off, sorry if this is a re-post, I couldn't find the answer to my problem.

Running Macbook Pro, Snow leopard.

I just installed PT9 via a download. When PT is launched, it tells me that there is a critical update available, and it sends me to the Digidesign Update Center. I've downloaded the update, but when I try and launch it from the downloads box in safari it tells me the disk image could not be opened.

Help!

Locate the downloaded file on your hard drive:
Pro_Tools_903_Updater_71531.dmg
Get Info on the file.
If it doesn't say that it is around 1.7 GB, then it did not download completely.
If it has ".dmg.dim" instead of just ".dmg" extension at the end of the file name, then it is not a complete download.

If it does appear to be a complete download, try opening it this way:
Open Disk Utility from Applications/Utilities
File > Open disk image
Navigate to your downloaded disk image, and see if Disk Utility can open/mount it.

I'm going to redownload and try once more.

I'm making the crossgrade to Pro Tools 10, and I have downloaded the 10.2 Mac OSX Installer three times now via Avid Download Manager, and after a definite 'complete' download, I am also faced with "The following disk images could not be opened". I have tried to mount it through disk utility, but it is still no use -- figured I should have just ordered the physical disk, because at this point, I've waited five hours for each complete download, only to find that they are completely useless. I wonder why....help, anyone?
