Default 888 connection problems?

Hey,

Elp me!

OK - I'm running PT 5.1.3 off an OS9 with 1 888. The thing is PT won't recognize the 888, meanwhile all the LED's are flickering away on the 888 - leading me to belive there is something quite wrong with the 888.

Usually when this occurs, simply starting up PT will sort it out but every time I run PT I am left with the message - 'Make sure Pro Tools hardware is connected and turned on'. The problem seems to happen when PT is triyng to load the DAE.

Any Ideas?

Cheers
