Default Do I really need to buy an iLok key to user PT9?

Im a PT 7.4 LE Mbox 2 user. I just read the PT9 FAQ and I was a bit confused - its mentions that LE users can crossgrade (for $299) but it also says you need an iLok to use PT9. Does this mean that to crossgrade from LE 7.4 to PT9 I need to purchase an iLok key for $40 as well? So Im looking at $349 to move to PT9?

You do need an iLok.

You could get one on Ebay. Like this one. And you'll get a m-powered 7 license with it. And Le to 9 crossgrade is only 249. So your looking at about 289 with a new ilok.

BUT, crossgrading from LE is ony $249, not $299...So your crossgrade price with a new ilok is what you thought it was without.

$299 + $40 = $339
