Why not replace the mac mini's hd with a larger capacity one or at least move the stuff currently on it to any external hd?if you're running 32 tracks on the internal hd your cpu/hd meter in PT wouldnt exceed 25 %

i just asked m-audio germany which HD they can recommend me for osx, pro tools and m-audio firewire 1814.
they told me, that they definitely can NOT recommend to use ANY firewire external HD on the second firewire port of the 1814. that confuses me a little bit... are you all talking about external HDs which are connected to the interface or directly to the mac? thanx for your help stefunk |

I was told on one music related apple forum that I should connect my external fw400 hd to macbook and then daisy chain my m-audio 1814 to that. I would've connect them in other way but everything has been working just great.
