Default Audio MIDI Setup Creating Multiple Icons for mBox, others
New issue now that I have an mBox Pro 3 vs. 002R:

My MIDI Setup
mBox Pro 3
MIDI out into Ensoniq ESQ-M
MIDI in from Kurzweil K2000
MIDI thru between Ensoniq and K2000

multiple Mbox icons now show up; when I start Pro Tools, I have to go to Audio MIDI Setup and re-run to find the mBox Pro 3 and then route that to my ESQ-M and K2000VP.

Same issue with a ProRemote, which is the iPad app - it duplicates it.

Doesn't happen with the Oxygen 8 (USB) or Faderport (USB).

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have the same issue with my Mbox pro, it creates a new icon ecru time I launch pro tools. It stays routed as along as I don't open the midi setup but if indo I have delete tons of Mbox icons then re attach the most resent Mbox pro icon to my midi controller. I'm running pt 10.0.1 and lion 10.7.2
Have not found a fix nor do I want to update at the moment to the latest Pro Tools 10 as I see people are having issues with video playback and core audio.

try lauching "audio midi setup" and leave it running while you work in PT

search the forums for "MIDI IO". we had a bunch of things we tried to stop the duplicating of devices in the midi setup window

Has anyone found a fix for the duplicating MBox Pro Icons? I thought I was alone on this, but finally see it is common to many here. Please let me know if there has been a fix, or a way to avoid

no fix, but I just leave mine alone and It seems to work fine.
Though one time i looked and there were tons of duplicates in there.

Haven't found a fix. redid entire OS with a new Username, and still same problem.

Avid, any thoughts?
