They do get back to you.

Nice hint that some kind of compressor PI will be available from the About George section....

"In addition, MDW’s patent pending DDRC (Digital Dynamic Range Controller) will soon be available for a variety of devices, from digital audio workstations to advanced broadcast audio level controllers."

we have a plug that 3/5 compatible, but Avid has to approve it's release. see if you can get someone's attention at Avid.

George
Has the MDW version compatible with V3 and V5 been released?

It's a drag to manually initiate a V5 on top of each V3 plugin instance that was on the session.

And if the session had V3 instances that were inactive you won't know which ones were active and which ones were inactive.
Opening the V5 on top of inactive instances will activate them.

They will probably not change the plug-in ID of v5 again, since that would break compatability with those sessions that use v5 EQs.

But i have to report that the plug-in reports a wrong latency value to the host: both in Native and DSP it reports 27 samples less than the processing delay really is! At 44.1 the DSP version reports a latency of 33 samples but it really is 60 samples!

I hope this will get fixed soon, we have not seen an updated installer since September 2012 I believe?

Ouch I hadn't spotted that one, I'll have to check it out.

Now that NAMM is over - could somebody at AVID please look into the issues we have with the MDW EQ v5?

I noticed this 27 samples delay with MDW v3 audiosuite as well. I keep notes about the individual delays of the different plugins and this delay is present for at least since v3 if not longer.

dear all, especially Tobias,

thanks for all of your help.

with the 10 release of Protools, gathering the latency of plugs is taken over by Protools (and, since there's no documentation on this, we're assuming it's done by signals through various plugs at instantiation). at 44.1 & 48k we oversample, and this evidently confuses Protools into reporting the wrong number. now, Chris Jubien and i had this straightened out. at one point, we had this fixed - there's a function called , but that function seems not to be working anymore. i've straightened out the Delay Compensation troubles as best we, as developers somewhat distanced from guys that write the code.

we have a Mac plug; it might be a couple more days before we test the Windows plug, and sometime after that Digi will have the new plug (5.0.1.15). if you could pass your email addresses to me at [email protected], i'll hook you up with our Dropbox. of course, since this is still officially beta you guys will want to report that it works perfectly or not, and i'll be looking for feedback.

thanks for your patience and great help,
GM

Thumbs up Re: MDW Massenburg EQ for AAX

Thanks a lot for the effort George! So far, the beta is working fine here both in native and DSP.
