Re: 3rd Party Interfaces You Can ChangeThe Bit/Sample Rate Of From Within Pro Tools..
OOPs! I forgot the most important one of all (because it enables the use of those that don't) - ASIO4ALL!

No 3rd party interfaces (except the M-Audio and Apogee Endorsed models) are "Supported" by Avid so I highly doubt there will be an official list from Avid any time soon.
FWIW on Windows MOTU PCIe-424 cards/interfaces Sample rates need to be set before entering Pro Tools, RME Fireface UC's change with PT but you have to set the buffer sizes outside of PT before launching.

I wasn't expecting Avid to post a list, rather I was hoping any users with third party interfaces would post - as you've done.
Thanks,

RME Fireface 800 at 48kHz and a PT session with 48kHz :
when closing that session and creating a new PT session, but the new one set within PT to 96kHz -> the Fireface 800 automatically switches by itself to 96kHz also. No need to do it before. The Fireface just follows.

Re: 3rd Party Interfaces You Can ChangeThe Bit/Sample Rate Of From Within Pro Tools..
Whoops sorry I made a mistake there and corrected what I posted, My RME Firface UC does follow the PT's session sample rate change its the buffer size that cannot be changed within PT, To do that you have to exit PT.
