How to disable Video Engine
I've just upgraded to PT 8 and had the option to uncheck Video Engine. Now with the 8.0.1 upgrade there was no option to uncheck. When I need a Mojo, I'll need the Video engine, but until then...

The Video Engine does not load unless it senses an Avid interface (like a Mojo). Are you trying to get rid of the delay in the PT startup sequence? Just delete or rename the "Video Engine" folder in the Applications/Digidesign/ProTools folder: ProTools won't stop working for lack of that folder.
