Default editing help!!

i'm not sure what i did.....but now when i highlight a waveform in the edit window and then try to play it aftefward, (to check my changes)i lose the highlighted part., instead of it looping or staying highlighted...any ideas what the heck i did??....thanks for your time...

Go to Setups>Preferences.. Look in the Operation tab. You may have accidentally checked "Timeline Insertion Follows Playback." If not, then I'm not sure... Hope it helps though.

This happens to me sometimes as well. If you hit the letter N accidently it activates "timeline insertion" very frustrating. Why would Digi put it so close to the spacebar ?

I have always wondered what button i was pessing to make timeline follow insertion. Thanks. Hopefully "n" toggles it on and off, too.

the N key only toggles this function if you have the command focus turned on. I nthis mode, almost every key does something... so it's gotta go somewhere.

If you want single key quick keys, then you have to deal with it. I don't use this mode so often, so it's not a big deal
