Default loop recording techniques?

Hi. Could someone please show me a technique for listening back to a track recorded in loop mode? The assumption here is that a loop was made (2 measures, for example) and then a track was recorded in loop mode. Now I want to listen back to that recorded track, and not just the last 2 measures but the whole thing, against the loop.

Thanks.

you have to duplicate OR repeat OR copy&paste the loops for the duration for the song.

check out the pre roll and post roll functions while you're at it. Or just turn loop mode off and start somewhere before the loop point, listen to the new recording and press the space bar when you're done listening. Get good at this because you're probably going to be doing it alot. If you like what you recorded chances are that you can put it where you want it. have fun.

With the selector tool, command click on the loop region after recording. This will give you a Pop-up window of regions to listen to, all referenced from the same "start time". Most will be in light print, meaning they are regions, or just "one loop cycle". One or more will be in bold, that is the the "whole file" of all you have recorded containing "all passes" of your loop recording since you started. Just select the whole file and it will pop up in the playlist. As long as the tempo does not change later in your session, it should still aligtn properly to the rest of your tracks (if they retain the same tempo). Later, Dan
