Default Re: Batch Clip Rename not renaming audio files - just clips PT 2018-3

Found a gruesome way to export clips as files. Doing drum samples for Slate SSD5. Right click in clip list and you can export as file. Very clunky at first but eventually the fingers learn it like a piano and it moves right along.

err... lot easier than this with the shortcut keys. Select your clips in the edit window (or bin) and then hit shift+command+k (that's the mac shortcut)

And the "committing" step is so slow because Pro Tools can't keep up with just hitting "Return" to go to the next file.

Agreed it shouldn't be this way, but can you not just program a KM macro to shift-cmd-R the whole mess and commit them? My batch rename macro essentially works that way and doesn't rely on any input from me after the first step.

best,
