PT12 input monitor?
For some reason I feel like I read just yesterday that input monitoring was going to be in PT12 Vanilla. Can anyone confirm this or am mixing things up here?
Thank you |

Re: PT12 input monitor?
You can switch between input monitoring only or Automatic

Re: PT12 input monitor?
I was told that nothing has changed from PT 11's behavior regarding input monitoring. This was in a similar thread that I started.

Re: PT12 input monitor?
I don't think that's true, at least not that I've heard. I could be wrong, but I think Input Monitoring remains unchanged.

I think you misread another post talking about whether or not it is going to be available. For the best confirmation as to what is included with PT 12 I suggest reading the 'Read Me' file it will tell you what is there. Input Monitoring is an HD feature and I would give up the hopes that it will be available...ever in 'vanilla' versions.

Your other option is to go to the Avid website where they state what is new for PT 12. If you are entitled to a PT 12 license you can find the Read me file with the rest of the downloads. LIke many, though, it's not available yet. At the end of the day, if you want input monitoring, then yes...you need to buy HD. In all honesty, with quick punch, it's not really a big deal. I'm used to not hearing the playback from the previous take...Or I just don't worry about punching in at all :P
