Default Mics for recording

I have different mics in my studio and I'm curious to know which mics does everybody prefer for recording instruments...

and of course from which mic do you get the better result for recording a particular instrument.

Kenshiro,

Although your question is a perfectly valid one, I doubt very much that it has anything to do at all with "Pro Tools troubleshooting"...Try and put your posts in the appropriate sections, it'll keep the DUC more useful for all concerned.

Regards

There's a great cover story in the Sept. 2000 issue of ELECTRONIC MUSICIAN called "Build a mic cabinet on any budget" which is very informative. Gives producer/engineer faves and mic characteristics and uses for most popular mics.
