Dragging MIDI files into 8.0.3
Doesn't work.
Windows XP SP3 I've got a PT HD2 Accel running v8.0.3cs1. I create a stereo instrument track and try to drag MIDI files from Windows Explorer into the session. I can only get a maximum of 3 files (usually 1!) into the session before it stops working. When I drag the file over the protools window the mouse cursor turns into a circle with a diagonal line through it. Any idea what's going on here?? Note If I drag a midi file from Superior Drummer 2 I get an access violation in DFW.dll, again this is after dragging one or two files successfully. Importing Midi files via the menu works fine, but is so much slower. I originally posted a related query in the Virtual Instrument forum, but as this seems to be a general problem with dragging midi files into Protools I'll post this further information here in the hope that Digi Support will have a look. |

Re: Dragging MIDI files into 8.0.3
This is a bug for sure. I just regressed back v8.0 and dragging MIDI works just fine from the desktop and from Superior Drummer.
I'm going to 8.0.1 now to see it's OK there |

Re: Dragging MIDI files into 8.0.3
8.0.1 is OK
It's an 8.0.3 bug. Hey Digi let me know if you want more info about my set up. I'm staying 8.0.1 for now. |
