PT LE 5.2 error 1,010 occurred

Upon starting PT I get this:
"The application has unexpectedly quit, because an error of type 1,010 occurred"

Anybody know this one?

Although I'm not sure of an exact fix, here are a few suggestions to try:

-Trash the DigiSetup File, Pro Tools preference, and DAE prefs (the entire folder) from the System Folder>Preferences folder. Empty the Trash and restart the Mac.

-Open the Sound Control Panel and set its output to "Built-In".

-In Extensions Manager, create a Mac OS Base set, enable the following extensions and restart the computer:
-Digidesign Control Panel
-DigiSystem INIT
-Digidesign Direct I/O
-Digidesign DSP Manager
-Digidesign Stream Manager
-Open Music System
-USB Floppy Enabler

I had this error recently. Tried the usual fixes (delete prefs, digiset-up etc) - as Brent has pointed out - but never managed to fix the problem fully - my guess that either PT or DAE itself had become damaged in some way???. In the end it was a clean install of PT to get it all back, having trashed all of the original install. My error was in PT LE 5.2.1 - I went back to 5.1.1 and have been running OK since. Good luck.

-To remove all Pro Tools releated items on your hard drive before reinstalling... trash the following:
-------Digidesign folder
from System folder:
-------DAE Folder (remove all third party plug-ins and custom presets)
from Control Panels folder:
-------Digidesign®
from Extensions folder:
-------DigiSystem INIT
-------Digidesign Direct I/O
-------Digidesign DSP Manager
-------Digidesign Stream Manager
From Preference folder:
-------DAE prefs
-------DigiSetup
-------ProTools preferences
