Default Drum beat creating in pro tools midi editor.

Is there a way to create drum beats using for example ezdrummer and have four bars loop while creating the beat? Then copy/paste to use that beat for longer sections of your track? What is some advice for creating beats directly in pro tools. I am a drummer and want to create my own and not use stock beats.
Thanks everyone.

Find a basic Pro Tools tutorial on MIDI edition, there are plenty on YouTube. That will be easier to understand than whatever we can explain here.

You might wanna create a click track.

You can drag-and-drop any beat in EZdrummer onto an instrument- or midi track in the PT edit window and edit it there. Check out youtube.

Have you considered investing in a midi drums set?

I have an electronic drum set and an acoustic set. I am just looking for all the options. I got ezdrummer working with my midi board. This is going to work and the sounds are fantastic! I am on my way to YouTube next to learn about the pro tools midi editor. You guys are awesome and thanks so much for the advice.

Have you tried playing your e-drums thru EZdrummer? You'll need a pretty small HW buffer setting to minimize latency.

Whoa. How do you set that up. I didn’t know that was even possible!

You connect the e-drums sound module via usb to your computer and play! The EZdrummer plugin will pick up the hits and trigger its samples. Almost easy as that.
