hey JFreak, thanks for your patience, I think I did what you suggested, ive made a screen recording to show you....I posted it on youtube because I can't upload to here for some reason

https://youtu.be/_ub3NMAbusY

now the worrying thing is after looking back at the screen recording on youtube, when I listen to it through the MacBook internal speakers the "output stereo" sounds good just like the 'output mono" , theres no crackling and the volume isnt weak. But when Im listening or recording in protools and using my interface the output stereo sounds crackly and weak. what in the name of god is going on.

believe it or not midnightrambler, it does make me feel a little better....im under the illusion that many people don't have problems with this, they'll just download pro tools, plug in their interface and guitar and off they go without any problems...it is nice to know I'm not on an island

Are you listening on headphones or speakers? If headphones, are they plugged into the Komplete interface? If speakers, how do you have them hooked up?

Have you downloaded the latest drivers for the interface?

There’s not much to this interface. It’s all a pretty simple setup.

There’s a good chance the speakers you have hooked up to your interface are out of phase.

Best to do some troubleshooting between headphones and speakers to determine the source of the problem.

Hey its2loud, thanks for the reply....im listening on headphones, and pretty crappy phones at the moment (could very well be the source of my heartache now that you've brought them to light), which are plugged into the interface.

I haven't downloaded any drivers for this interface, it's a pretty simple set up as you said, it didn't require any downloading of drivers for a macbook as far as I'm aware, just plug in and go. This was one of the main reasons I went with a macbook over Windows, because I'm brutul with I.T

Put a picture up of what your bus tab under I/O Setup looks like.

There are drivers for your interface on the Kontakt website for Mac and PC. Just because you don’t think you need drivers, the software could update firmware bugs in the hardware.

If you use the Mac IO to listen without the interface and everything works as it should then the problem lies with the interface. It’s hard to determine the source of the problem with piece meal information. Hope you get it sorted.

The output is mapped to unavailable physical outputs. Click on the default button on the Bus tab and what happens. Post another picture. Both the Mac and PT recognized the interface at one point because the I/O is correct for the KA6, but for some reason one or both is not seeing the interface now.
