Here you go:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...is=REG&index=Y

$1099. If shipping outside of New York there is no tax. You get a free 2 space rack gig bag. Free shipping.

You don't have to hassle anyone. It takes as little as 2 minutes to buy it on the phone. With the time you save by not bitching it out with a sales hack in a store -you can spend it making music.

I'd call Alto Music, or Rainbow Guitars in Tucson Arizona.

Hey Hey!

The "Bundled Software" with that is just the Reason Adapted, Live Lite, etc., it's not the Factory Bundle, so for this deal, My Guitar Center $1100.00 is still the best direct answer to the post and the $1200.99 for the Factory Bundle is the better deal overall.

I WILL give you that a two rackspace bag wouldn't suck to have, and without shipping or tax, that comes out about the same... so I guess it's getting the bag instead of paying the tax, but I bet if I call Guitar Center today and tell them that I'm coming back to return my purchase, which I haven't opened, they'll give me the bag. Maybe I'll try it.

I bought a 002R from Musician's Freind for $1099 ($100 instant rebate) and free shipping. Included free MXL 992 Mogami and 993 mic kit.
I did have to pay tax, but the $100 off basicly paid for that.

Thanks for the replies. I also just think of going ahead and doing the exchange, but still see a good number of posts about problems with the 002R. Do you think those problems are not that prevalent at this point? By contrast as long as the 001 has been out you don't see may posts about it not working correctly etc.

Digi's hardware exchange is really the best price...$795 for the regular one and $1045 for the Factory Bundled one. You can't beat that. Make sure the dealer you do it through does it the right way and gets the unit from Digi and not an off-the-shelf unit. That way you will be assured a new unit with the serial number that ends with G, which means it has the new type Molex harness. I think the failure rate on these is very low, perhaps not even an issue any more. I hope so, I got mine a couple months ago, works great. Hell, you may even get one with 7.0, but still you can upgrade for free or for a couple extra bucks get the Upgrade Plus which is a choice of two extra plug-in's.

That's not bad, unless you can get more than $200 for the 001 on eBay. Yes, you can get 002R for under $1000.

+1 for Alto... that's where I got mine. They had the best price after rather extensive research.

Why not do the hardware exchange from Digidesign? the cost from the Digi 001 is $795. I got my 002R from my Mbox for $895.00. It worked out great and I didn't have to go through the ordeal of grinding a salesperson down.
