Default 7.1 with CPTK to bluray

Hi
I'm completely new to the world of surround mixing and I have scoured these forums before posting this :)

I have Complete Production Toolkit for Protools LE and I am working on a 7.1 mix for an audio art installation. What I need to know is can I use the plugins that came with CPTK to encode the 7.1 to either DTS or Dolby Digi and then burn that to BluRay disk for playout through a 7.1 surround Onkyo amp? All I can find is the Neyrinck SoundCode Stereo plugin but this has no mention of encoding to DTS or Dolby.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers

If you have DVD Studio Pro you can use that to encode DD (AC3) thats what we use. Otherwise you will have to buy / rent something to encode inside of PT. The CPTK does not come with these encoders.

Blu-rays can have 7.1 PCM tracks on them, so you might not need any encoding. Just bounce the 8 mono files and give them to the person creating the Blu-ray.

And just for your reference, Complete Toolkit does not include any kind of Dolby or DTS encoding at all.

The soundcode stereo is merely a plugin that combines a 5.1 channel down to a stereo channel in protools, mainly for editing, not for mixing, on a smaller system where you only have standard 2 channel monitoring.

also Pro Tools 7.1 is the old dead SDDS format (L,Le,C,Re,R,LS,RS,LFE) not the Dolby EX format (L,C,R,LS,RS,LB,RB,LFE) that most want
