Default El Cap still viable OS?

Just re-upped my PT sub after going on musical hiatus for most of this year. I'm still running El Capitan on my Mac Pro. Still should be all good? I have no interest in upgrading my OS really, if not needed.

I was running 2018.7 on El Capitan on a Mac Pro 5,1 until recently with no problems.

Cool, also on a Mac Pro 5,1. Thanks.

ElCrapitan is probably the worst OSX ever unleashed by Apple. It was never a viable operating system for anything. Don't take my word for it - just search the DUC (or ask Darryl Ramm)

What Musicman said!! El Cap is probably the worst OS Apple ever released for running Pro Tools on so no ... Not a viable option and never has.

Yikes! Like I said I wasn't having any problems, but I only used El Cap for a couple of months. Just moved to High Sierra.

But I do have a lot of annoying issues with El Capitan on my non-PT laptop, for sure.
