Trouble with Expansion HD - System Crash on bootup
I am wondering if this is a problem with the expansion HD that I just bought --
When I turn on my computer -- sometimes it will crash at the login screen -- Other times my date will be reset to Dec 31, 1969?? Here's the crash report if anyone can make sense of it... Anyone having the same issues?? Re: Trouble with Expansion HD - System Crash on bootup
From the looks of it, it has to do with the iLok, though maybe not the iLok specifically. It looks like you're using a hub - is this a powered hub? What happens if you take the hub off the system?
I would recommend: Zap PRAM Reset Open Firmware Install the latest Pace iLok drivers from www.paceap.com Make sure your date/time are set correctly - if it's resetting, you may need a new motherboard battery. |

Re: Trouble with Expansion HD - System Crash on bootup
This is going through a geffen Cat5 - DVI Extender w/ USB - As well there are 2 USB Belkin Powered Hubs plugged in -- 1 directly in the computer -- and the other on the transmitting end of the Geffen -- I am going to try and eliminate these -- I was thinking that might cause it...
I'll report back what I find... BTW, how does one reset open firmware? |
