Default PTLE 8 optimization tips

Hello, i have always been encountering errors while recording, and even more often during mixing (running t-racks and such). Im encountering error (9093) and sometimes (9094). It tells me to raise the H/W buffer size, so i do. but then latency becomes unacceptably large. system specs in sig.

Im running windows 7 64 bit. no other background tasks. I also cant even change a setting on my BF76 without getting a PT error. Are there any optimizations that anybody can reccomend? settings changes? windows changes? I think i could use some more memory. if someone could back up my idea of this i might have to get some more.
Protools is installed on a 60gb OCZ agility series SSD, and my sessions are saving onto my 1tb hdd.

Thanks in advance.

Wink Re: PTLE 8 optimization tips

Well, from what I understand, PT for W7 64-bit is in beta, so it's not officially supported yet. Secondly, I wouldn't worry about the latency issue unless you are recording, in which you shouldn't have a heavy amount of plugins active anyways, especially if you're having these issues. Try recording with your plugins inactive and buffer low. Then when you are ready to mix and write automation, raise the buffer and make your plugs active. But write your automation after you raise the buffer as changing the buffer can change intricate automation accuracy where it's required. My system usually has no problems recording with a low buffer with a decent amount of plugins active, but all systems are different, especially ones like yours. But try what I said. If it doesn't workout, wait for more support and/or post your Sandra!
