One word of advise.. if you guys ever visit Nordic countries, please do not ask for decaf -- ever. You would be frowned upon and treated like a retard

Happens in the USA at Joe & The Juice high end coffee shops (from Denmark)... No decaf. It's amusing to watch them barista-splain why to indignant customers.

Used to run a coffee/snack club at one job and every once in a while i'd have a pot dedicated to espresso. Also had a pot with regular coffee. A lot of people mixed the two because they couldn't take full-strength espresso. This was when I worked as an aerospace engineer. Talk about space cadets

Pot espresso?

Not quite

I had two brewing setups - most of the time I had regular coffee in both pots. Then there was the odd time (especially on a Monday) where I'd load up one of the pots with full strength espresso.

Here, I have to buy a yearly permit for an alarm. $50. They say that it helps to defray the cost of the sheriff's department responding to false alarms.

My system rings the sheriff AND the alarm company. If the alarm company does not cancel the call to the sheriff within 2 minutes they are dispatched. The alarm company calls me to verify or not then if false, sends that to the sheriff.

Yup, State Farm here too. No, not the cheapest, but for me, the best solution.
What brand / model is the system you have? It sounds like its well thought out.

Also, in an attempt to bring this back around to topic and to generate more interest, let's assume I have a high-quality coffee machine in the studio.

If you derive your income from the studio, you may also be able to get coverage for lost income(my building had a major plumbing disaster and I was able to recoup for lost work over a 2 week period). Keep in mind that I operated out of rented space in a commercial building in downtown Nashville.
Thanks. What brand / model is the monitored alarm system?

Arguably more important than an alarm system. =P

In sweden the alarm system we use are direct to police And fire. The companies who provide the alarm services where you go thru them first is nothing I would trust our studios with after investing way way too much. It is not a commercial studio although we have more gear than the large facilities so paying the insurance and having the right system isn’t more than €177 a month which is coffee money really.

So sorry I cant help you better as we are on oppposite sides of the ocean and we dont have the issues that US have with crime or with police.
What is the name of the company you use?

I walked into Wal-Mart [with a mask on, but then I always do that at Wax-Mart].

They had the following DIY systems in a cabinet:

Night Owl
Arlo
Merkury
Google Nest

They were anywhere from less than $100.00 all the way to about $400.00 for the Night Owl 1080 P Wireless Smart Security System [looks like it comes with a DVR].

Anybody know anything about those kind of systems?
