We also *need* desperately a keyboard shortcut for collapsing and opening *all* main level folders.

And, I'm on an unsupported D-Command ES still, just a note: I wanted to folder up my 20 VCA's for tidying things, the D-Command "Tracks" VCA view becomes empty up when the VCA folder is closed. Any way around this? (I know there are a lot of of us ICON people still around...)

(I guess I'm dreaming if ICON could get a token "collapse/open folder" and "collapse/open all folders" soft keys update?)

alt-shift-F seems the most obvious, to the point where I actually went to do it and was disappointed when it didn't work.

Send this to idea-scale so Avid is aware. I didn't know how badly I need this feature till you mentioned it.

They've transitioned feature requests over to the Avid Link Feature Request Lounge, which feels like a twitter feed where things go past then disappear into oblivion. That is when it's actually working... I just tried to go to it to take a look and it just comes up as a blank gray page on the Avid Link app on both iPad and iPhone.

We need the ability to open and close folders during recording, especially for long-form ITB laybacks (i.e.print deliverables to tracks). It is currently possible to open and close folders from within the Avid Control app during recording without interrupting recording. But within Pro Tools opening and closing of ANY folders is disabled during recording, even if they don't contain actively recording tracks. Also, when the transport is stopped, any record armed tracks that are in a folder are disarmed when the folder is closed, whether done from within Pro Tools or from the Avid Control app. These need to stay armed when opening and closing folders. If necessary, there may need to be record and input buttons added to basic folder tracks, or at least an indicator or record or input status on the folder track for when the folder is closed.
