Recording lost after saving
I did a recording last Friday and when I came back to work on Monday the audio was not there, nothing, not even in the Cache folder.
I always save several times when I do recordings and I did before shutting down the computer, I would like to know if someone had this problem before. Thanks |

Re: Recording lost after saving
Thank you,
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 8GB RAM I'm recording with an Scarlett2i4 Recording on ProTools First with the Monthly subscription. I recorded 1 track of voice over, about an hour and a half, on Friday evening, I saved the project every half hour and at the very end when the recording finished. Came back on Monday morning to start editing and the audio was not there. My subscription renewed on the 21th on January, the recording was done on the 19th. The company where I work changed the details for the credit cards, we updated the details yesterday the 21th (New Zealand time). According to this article: http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...ription-lapses I should be able to have my projects back and all of the audio. The recorded audio is not in the 'Project Cache' folder or anywhere else. The only remaining audio from that day is on my laptop's trash, two clips of about 3 seconds long that deleted from the Session, nothing else. Any help? |

Re: Recording lost after saving
I have to ask the Avid techs as I never used PT First and Cloud Storage and Collab etc but files shouldn't disappear from the folders like that though.
Can anyone who use PTF and Cloud Storage chime inhere in the meantime as we wait for clarification from Avid please.

Re: Recording lost after saving
EPSound, top menu go to Window > Soundbase, this should open up a window called Workspace. On the left hand side, do you see the name of the session you created? If so, expand this by clicking on the arrow next to it, this should show you a folder "Audio Files". Click on the folder, you should see your files i the middle and able to play them using the small play button in front of the thumbnail waveforms. You should be able to then drag the files into your session. This is what I've found in my working session.
