This thing is great. I already have a mix out with it backing a rhythm acoustic guitar.

How does it compare to the recently released Serum from Xfer Records which is also a wavetable VI and sounds fabulous?

I bought Element, used it on one remix. It is a great synth with alot of potential, but its so much of a CPU hog that its almost worthless to use.

I would bet this new synth is the same. Im done buying any Waves products.

Serum is super deep and Chrystal clear in it's engine.
Codex is rather dull and way too close in general to Ellement. But putting the sequencer aside Codex is complimentary to Serum's colorful embrace.
If only one then my ears go to Serum.
